Our fort...

Nothing fancy, just me, my boy and a quilt draped over some furniture. He LOVED it...had the time of his life. I love nothing more than to have my sweet boy look me in the eyes, smiling and laughing. I love him.

Mother...

What do you say about a Mother...the most sacred role on this earth? I hope I never forget the feeling in that moment (in the photo above) a spiritual experience that compares to no other. I knew this person in my arms...remembered him. What a gift and a blessing to be a woman and a Mother.
My Mother gave me a beautiful life. I always knew that I was loved and safe, what more could a child ask for? I hope to be 1/2 the Mother she is. I pray to be as selfless and willing to sacrifice as her. She gave me such a lovely example to follow.

One of my favorite quotes on Motherhood:
Author Anna Quindlen reminds us not to rush past the fleeting moments. She said: “The biggest mistake I made [as a parent] is the one that most of us make. … I did not live in the moment enough. This is particularly clear now that the moment is gone, captured only in photographs. There is one picture of [my three children] sitting in the grass on a quilt in the shadow of the swing set on a summer day, ages six, four, and one. And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” (Loud and Clear [2004], 10–11

Monchichi...

Remember Monchichis? I loved me a Monchichi back in the day...I got one down at the Target for my Mister today. He LOVED it...and no offense boyfriend, but he kept calling it "dada"...Im just saying.

If my house looks tow-up from the flow-up, thats because it is. Amy came down, we had such a fun time and those 3 children of ours know how to make a mess! But, who has fun playing in a clean room?
Sissy is so pretty and sweet and Mister loves his Auntie.
And...
Im so proud of my man...
Harward & Associates was #2 best real estate agency...Holla! He would have been #1 if we would have even known he was nominated, I would have had all kinds of fools out there voting for him.

My mister...

A few from my iphone recently...

Mister sitting so sweetly...
You have no idea how much these children of ours love each other...what could be better!?
laughing when we tried a hat on him...maybe he knew how dippy it was!
Showing off his new kicks...
Climbing the stairs...
working on his favorite thing in the world...the vacuum.

I love this age with him...I have loved every age but this one is perfect. He started really walking and I don't know how to keep up with him. He is a wild man. I think I am going to pickle him and put him in jar this boy of mine.

Mister in his tux...

Mister was truly outraged the other day when I put him in an Australian tuxedo...or is it a Canadian tuxedo? Either way lets be honest...it should be called a Utah tuxedo.
Whatever you call it, I think he made it look pretty cute.

Spring...

I have been loving this weather...we have been working in the yard. I planted our garden the other day, I can not wait to have fresh vegetables and herbs...and strawberries. (if things actually grow, this is my first try at gardening and I have no clue what I am doing)
WOWZA! I made this trifle for Adam's dads birthday. Homemade chocolate Texas sheet cake, vanilla custard and butterfinger. It was real nice.
Mister is IN TO EVERYTHING. Seriously, I turn my back for one second and this is how I find him.
I love his new pants...they say " I like milk"...you have got to love kawaii kids.
It was so pretty yesterday, Mister may have played in just his dipe for a while. He loved it.

Mommy blogger...

I ran into a friend of mine the other day and she informed me that I am a Mommy blogger. HA...so I thought I might moon the camera or something like that, but I decided to post these photos of Mister on St. Patrick's day instead.

This sweet boy is my life, so a Mommy blogger I shall be.

(Thanks Amy D. for the photos)

Double digits...

Just look at my big boy the day he was born...handsome from the start.
10 months...wow. It seems like yesterday/doesn't...but one thing I know, these have been the very best 10 months of my life.

Vacation...

We had such a fun little trip to St. George and Las Vegas...
Jude just LOVED swimming. He was an angel the entire time, he slept like a dream boat and let us push him around all over town for hours.
And the Easter bunny dropped by a little treat for Mister. I think he must have been crunched for time because he left Mister a pretty dippy basket.

And here he is just building stuff.

Happy Easter!!!

I hope you have a perfect Easter...This is one of my very favorite hymns, and it gives me butterflies when I think of it this time of year.

I know that my Redeemer lives;
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, He lives, who once was dead;
He lives, my ever living Head.

He lives to bless me with His love,
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed,
He lives to help in time of need.

He lives triumphant from the grave,
He lives eternally to save,
He lives all glorious in the sky,
He lives exalted there on high.

He lives to grant me rich supply,
He lives to guide me with His eye,
He lives to comfort me when faint,
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.

He lives to silence all my fears,
He lives to wipe away my tears
He lives to calm my troubled heart,
He lives all blessings to impart.

He lives, my kind, wise, heavenly Friend,
He lives and loves me to the end;
He lives, and while He lives, I’ll sing;
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.

He lives and grants me daily breath;
He lives, and I shall conquer death:
He lives my mansion to prepare;
He lives to bring me safely there.

He lives, all glory to His Name!
He lives, my Jesus, still the same.
Oh, the sweet joy this sentence gives,
I know that my Redeemer lives!

This old bag...

(either you are pasty white or sister and I needed to lay off the tanning bed in this one...oh dear...the things we did in the '90s)

The old bag in the middle is turning 30 and I wont be in town so I wanted to do a little post for her since she is always perfect at remembering everyones birthdays. I love this girl. We have always been dear friends but to me Sarah feels more like a sister now. Im am so happy that we are so close and that our babies are so close. Hope your day is perfect!

No no no...

My Great Grandma use to say "don't sass your Mother"...I wish she was here to tell Mister that.

Pregnancy and Newborn magazine...

Look how cute...I received and email this morning from this magazine, I am so happy that one of our headbands is featured in the April issue of Pregnancy and Newborn.
