Next time you gut a home built in 1948 remember...it will NEVER be finished, ever.

So, while the weather is not cooperating outside for Misters nursery, we have been trying to get some of the lingering projects finished up inside the house.

This is the downstairs bathroom...that has never been showered in. Remember the pluming debauchery? Well that is resolved and we are now cleaning up the damage...re-grouting the tile, fixing the ceiling, and now I have to replace my wallpaper (you can see where they patched right over it with putty or whatever it is they use). Nice job.

We just got a plug put in the living room area so I can actually plug in my lamp. We put it in the side of the fireplace. Its hard to think of everything when you are starting from scratch, but forgetting a plug in the sitting area? Oh dear.
This photo looks gross...but we just set the tile around the fireplace. Its obviously not done yet.
Talk about gross...this is disgusting. What a nightmare, one thing after the next is wrong with this so Im not even going to go into it. The cement countertop/sink was poured for this last week and we are just waiting for it to cure so that we can replace this mess. And finally, I picked out the mirror for above it.
We also got the wood on the staircase, not quite finished but i LOVE it.
So, thats the scoop around here. I am so excited to have some of the little things (and not so little things) that we have learned to live with get finished. Mister will think we have always had our act together.

My Dr. has got to be off on my dates...

Seriously...look at me. Im HUGE! I think Mister is coming. Well maybe not coming yet but I cant image getting bigger (I know all of you ladies that have babies are like "you just wait") but I feel maxed out. Not to mention, I don't think I have ever seen anyone with a higher belly. Anyway, Im 35 weeks on Monday. Oh damn.

To freak or not to freak, that is the question...

First off, Happy May day...

What in the swine flu is going on?! Im not sure what to think of this. All I know is that I don't like it one bit...and I'm trying to get more serious about my food storage. I already have a few items (really nothing, some water and whatnot) but if you have been to my house you know that my storage space is more than limited. So I went with my Mom down to The Sam's club and bought this great 90 "delicious" meals in a bucket, and a giant krusteaz just add water pancake mix...because lets be honest, if you gave me a bag of cracked wheat I would still die of starvation. I figured you could live off off pancakes for quite some time. Im not freaking quite yet, I'll probably start tomorrow...are you freaking?

I don't want this to happen...

Just thought I would show you a few of the cute furniture pieces that I got for Misters nursery. And thank you to my cute Mom for helping me get misers bedding just the way I want it! She is a a magician with the sewing machine!

First things first...

Sister threw the most darling shower of all time for me. I don't know how she does it. Thank you, thank you CC, and thank you to everyone who came. I love all of the darling treats that you showered me in.

How cute is this pillow that my Mom and I made for the Misters room? I cut out the owl and she sewed it...perfect as usual. I think it turned out pretty cute. Mister likes it too...he told me so. And...I picked up my crib on Monday. I LOVE it so much.

Not sure why Im blogging this but I got new bedding for me and the boyfriend. It is so darling and the duvet has really cute vintage looking buttons on it.

Getting things done...

Its so good to have my Mom here...we are quite the pair. Her, with her broken foot that she just had surgery on and me all big and pregnant like. We went to a ton of fabric stores and I got SUCH cute fabric for Misters nursery. It was just what I needed to get excited about things again. Sorry I keep b$@*%ing about the nursery. Im trying to have a better attitude. The bottom photo of me looking like I am about to deliver my 4 week over due triplets is for my sweet Auntie Lane...and you can kind of see how far boyfriend has come on the "shed" (it's a garage if you ask me) I will post some photos of the sun blocking beast when it gets a little closer to finished (sorry about the propane tank and bar-b-q in the back ground...what is more trashy than a pregnant lady posing by a bar-b-q?). Im trying to talk my man into painting the shed purple...thats the color of the front door and some of the trim on our house. I want to basically do it in the opposite colors of the house. So, purple with green trim...but he's not feeling me so much. I guess we will see.

Coming Mummsie...

She is finally coming!

I cant wait for my Mom to get here...she gets here tomorrow and I couldn't be happier.

I must say I freaked a little today when the doctor told me "only 7 more weeks to go"...oh mercy! Not much has been done in the way of the Nursery due to the blizzards of last week, but the weather this week is supposed to be beautiful. Today I got my big box of vintage inspired baby hangers in the mail and wondered if they would ever have a closet of their own to hang in. Im doing pretty good as far as having most of my nursery items ordered so I feel pretty good about that. The only thing I REALLY need is a big cute rug...any suggestions on places to look would make me so very happy...PLEASE. I bought one at pottery barn on sale the other day, thinking I had found a rare and beautiful treasure and when I got it home and rolled it out it looked like it would have been the perfect size rug for a Barbie mansion. Mini. It looked HUGE all rolled up...and my brain is not quite working like it once did. Anyway, if you know of a place or have seen any cute ones around I would love to hear. I have exhausted all of the usual sites that I check.

I woke up this morning and decided I needed a new photo of my gargantuan belly at 32 weeks. "I will wait until I get dressed" I thought. Lets be honest...I spend most of my time dressed like this...so here I am in the outfit I slept in last night...for your viewing pleasure.

Sarah's shower...

I have been waiting for Sarah to blog about her shower...but she must not have thought it was cool enough for a blog post. Ha! So I stole her photos and Im blogging about it.

Look at these roomies. We all met our freshman year at the very fancy and luxurious Raintree apartments.

Lots of food and goodies...Sarah got tons of great gifts. So happy for her and her lucky little baby. Sorry, I spaced your birthday and forgot to write in your birthday book. I was planning a bash for you so I think it makes it o.k.? I hope.

Easter delights...

I did these little dresses for my lady friends for their Easter dresses...I think they turned out pretty cute. The flowers attached to the tags are their hair-do-dads (thats what my mom always called them) Sorry the photos are so bad, I took them in my closet.

I also decided that its a really good thing that Im having a boy...I wanted to attach felt flowers to their shoes, socks, and anything else I could think of. It really would be dippy, I cant help it...I would be one of those ladies.

Oh boyfriend...

Don't work so hard/do because Mister needs a place to sleep...but that look on your face is making me very sad. I didn't know that you know Danny Devito??? And that you know him well enough to have him come over and take your photo. Thats neat.

Treats...

I got this new JUMBO tip for my frosting on Etsy...Im obsessed! This was my first time using it so they do not look perfect, but I got it just in time for a baby shower. And...how cute are those vintage storks? Just thought I would share...I wish it was a big platter of Dunkin' donuts.

However, I did get asked if I was having them at church on Sunday. Nice.

You're growing so big and strong. Me, Im just growing big...not so much the strong part.

And, yes...I obviously only have one belt that still fits me.

My favorite time of day...

Me and boyfriend all snugly like in bed...just hanging out together. Nothing better. I have been so busy lately with work, the nursery and helping plan a baby shower for my dear friend, that I haven't had time/or anything to blog. I obviously still don't have anything to blog about but we sure were snug as bugs tonight so I thought I would snap a photo or two of the three of us. (Mister was snug too, and kicking me in the ribs...his way of saying that he loves me)

The pineapple that made me cry...

What is going on today. In my 7 months of pregnancy I haven't felt like this AT ALL. It all started this morning when I dropped a piece of pineapple and it slid under the desk. Overwhelmed by the knowledge that I wasn't going to be able to reach it without getting on all fours and crawling under the desk, my eyes filled up with tears. Literally. This feeling has continued on throughout the day...lots of sighing out loud and water filled eyes when I look out my window to see misters nursery. Even as I type this I might be fighting them back a little. So, I have to ask myself...is something really wrong? Am I really sad? No, Im not...but the feeling IS real. I really do FEEL sad. They are an anomaly...these hormones and the feelings that they bring.

Im well, and mister is well and kicking as I type...boyfriend is sweet. What more could I ask for. Nothing.

In the mail...

I love me a package on the door step. Today I got my vintage baby scale...I think I have that look on my face in this photo because I am curiously wondering what Mister is going to weigh. Oh dear, I cant think of that yet. Anyway, I love this item. I have been trying to get all my items ordered/made for the nursery. There is SO much to do and the only progress that has been made in the nursery so far is that the tire has been mysteriously moved. Mister steps I guess, it will get done.

Why is this happening to me???

Have you ever had one of those cream...no scratch that...frosting filled powdered doughnuts from dunkin' donuts? If not its the one in the middle there with the chocolate frosting coming out of it (you can get vanilla too) Seriously, there is NOTHING better. I would take one over a cupcake. Why am I blogging about this?.Well, 1. Im pregnant and chubs and I want one so bad. and 2. The reason I want one so bad...I saw a commercial for the dunkin' donuts tonight so I just assume there has to be one in Utah...why else would they show the commercial. There is not.

I was planning on doing a post about My girlies tonight...I was going to watch them today, Amy is home in California taking care of my Mummsie who broke her foot and had to have surgery on Tuesday. But... Chris said he didn't need me today so I didn't get to see the beauties. Miss them...and Sister.

I will have some things to blog soon though (although nothing exciting) I have been making things for Misters nursery...so much fun.

My belly has tripled in size...I look like octomom. Maybe not but feel like octomom, and instead of just feeling kicks I feel him rolling around and can feel his little body parts poking me. I love him so much already.

BBBOAAARINGGG!

As you can see, I have nothing to blog about...I made Mister these little blue sandals. That is about as exciting as things get around here.

Also, I wanted to wish my brother Mark a very happy birthday!

Wrangler buns...

Mister has lots to wear when he gets here...but I think some of my favorites are the dippy little things I find at the most random spots. Love his little old fashioned saddle shoes and how about those Wranglers...seriously! Boyfriend said that they were Daisy Dukes...apparently he has never seen a diaper cover before.

Misters revenge...

WOW!

Im here today to tell you about Misters revenge...I didn't show for a while, but he is sure making up for it now. Making me eat at the Olive Garden, Dippidee, Sisters Texas sheet cake, Peeps and Cadbury Mini Eggs. He begs me for it! And I cant say no to him...I read in my book Great Expectations that he can cry in there, and Im willing to do everything in my power to prevent that!

New ryyyide...

This is my new G-ryyide. Im very excited to have a new car!...I must say I was a little sad to see the last one go. Thats my man up there doing his best impression of a Price is Right lady. I think he did real nice. I think Mister is going to look pretty cute in the back seat.

I was so excited to see that Lou and Lee was featured on the Cookie Magazine's Nesting Blog.

What a treat...

Did you see the new delish looking peeps in their new shade of peach...I did. But the big question is... where are all of the white bunnies? (those are by far my favorite peeps) I asked boyfriend if he wanted in on this photo and he said "no"...and I was sad. Wish him luck. He is doing his 2nd gallbladder cleanse tonight. He has to drink 16 oz. of extra virgin olive oil and a ton of fresh squeezed lemon juice. Let me tell you without going into details...it works for real.

And did you see the snow in the background? Im not pleased at all.

All things Mister...

Some of our baby boy's items are piled in boxes and shoved in the corner...why you ask?

Because this is what his Nursery currently looks like. Do you like what I have done with the place? I thought the tire was the perfect finishing touch. Unfortunately, our neighbor called the city on us and we may or may not have had a permit at the time. Boyfriend keeps informing me that it will be done in time. Im beginning to get a little concerned. I have ordered most of the items for the nursery...but Im running out of corners to put things in.
It will all work out...I hope. My Mom is going to come out in the next little while and help me get organized and pick out some finishing touches for the bedding. Cant wait for that.

Mister gets stronger everyday and I love his kicks. Mysterious things are happening to my body. We haven't picked a name yet...we are having a really hard time. We have one we really like but its such a huge thing to name a baby.
