My bed and I. Bed rest...I should ask my sister-in-law Erin about it...she's been on it for about 15 years. Im supposed to lay around all day and only get up to go to the bathroom and to "put something in the microwave" (Dr.s words not mine). My blood pressure is sky rocketing, and he doesn't want it to get any higher or its c-section city for me and the Mister. Its funny how all I wanted to do was lay in bed until I was told that I have too.
Here I am today on my first day...no makeup (and why would I) plus I went to bed with my hair wet (I got to use my fancy shower downstairs for the first time ever last night...very luxurious) As you can see Im not in bed...but Im headed that way. I left my sodie (which I probably shouldn't be drinking) on the desk and thought I would blog. Thats the scoop...

Why do I look so serious? Well, when a moment like this comes along in your life, you cant help but be serious. Im wearing my new Snuggie that my darling (and VERY thoughtful) friend Meggan got for me. I even got my very own reading lamp so that I don't disturb boyfriend while Im reading all of my steamy romance novels at night.
2 1/2 more weeks...or so they say.
The above is Misters nursery in the making...its starting to look like a room! He has been working so hard between work and getting this done for us.
I had to get over 60 headbands made this weekend...Sister came over and helped me on Sunday, I dont know what I would do without her. I took a big order up to Babinskis...if you're in the market.
Im trying to get Mister's items organized...its not easy. I have the bassinet full of stuff, the crib full of stuff, the bugaboo full of stuff...We need our nursery. I cant image what it will be like to actually have a place to put things.
How cute are the booties that I got from this darling shop? They are the miniest things you have EVER seen (but she has all sizes) I wanted them small so that I could put them on Mister as soon as possible. And that darling packaging...with the Astroturf. So cute.
And, my friend Jen sent me dounies yesterday...and they did not dissapoint. They might have been a little squished but they were just as nice. Thanks again Jen!!!

Im so happy with the new countertop in the bathroom...LOVE it in fact.
I also got 2 of these darling Jonathan Adler lights for upstairs. If you haven't been to his site...run, dont walk.
The shed has all of its windows in and is getting so close, we just need the siding and the shelving put up inside. We still do not know what color it is going to be...
And a few new Thomas Paul pillows...here are a few but I bought a bunch. I needed new pillows really bad. Its funny how you can be in a house that isn't even all the way finished and it already needs updates.
I have been trying for a while now to decide what to do about the Etsy shop...what if I go into labor and I have a ton of orders? I don't even want to think about it! Im thinking I need to close the shop for a little bit, but I would like to find someone to help me out with the cutting and sewing. If anyone is a really good with the scissors (thats the most time consuming part) e-mail me if you are interested (louandlee{at}gmail.com). I have been so lucky to be able to work from home and would like to keep the shop going with some help if I could.
I think I seriously have the best Mom ever. I love her so much. She does too much for all of us and I don't think that I will ever be able to properly thank her. Now that I have a Mister of my own coming, I understand better her love and concern for me.
She is so amazing...that I opened my door to a big box of The Sweet Tooth Fairy cupcakes she had delivered to me for my first mothers day! Thank you for the belly ache...they were reeaaaal nice.
We just got a plug put in the living room area so I can actually plug in my lamp. We put it in the side of the fireplace. Its hard to think of everything when you are starting from scratch, but forgetting a plug in the sitting area? Oh dear.
This photo looks gross...but we just set the tile around the fireplace. Its obviously not done yet.
Talk about gross...this is disgusting. What a nightmare, one thing after the next is wrong with this so Im not even going to go into it. The cement countertop/sink was poured for this last week and we are just waiting for it to cure so that we can replace this mess. And finally, I picked out the mirror for above it.
We also got the wood on the staircase, not quite finished but i LOVE it.
So, thats the scoop around here. I am so excited to have some of the little things (and not so little things) that we have learned to live with get finished. Mister will think we have always had our act together.
Seriously...look at me. Im HUGE! I think Mister is coming. Well maybe not coming yet but I cant image getting bigger (I know all of you ladies that have babies are like "you just wait") but I feel maxed out. Not to mention, I don't think I have ever seen anyone with a higher belly. Anyway, Im 35 weeks on Monday. Oh damn.
What in the swine flu is going on?! Im not sure what to think of this. All I know is that I don't like it one bit...and I'm trying to get more serious about my food storage. I already have a few items (really nothing, some water and whatnot) but if you have been to my house you know that my storage space is more than limited. So I went with my Mom down to The Sam's club and bought this great 90 "delicious" meals in a bucket, and a giant krusteaz just add water pancake mix...because lets be honest, if you gave me a bag of cracked wheat I would still die of starvation. I figured you could live off off pancakes for quite some time. Im not freaking quite yet, I'll probably start tomorrow...are you freaking?
