If wishes were fishes...

I would have these items...I have an itch...I want to go to Las Vegas and go shopping. Its been awhile. Its not very easy to do when your pouring all your money into a remodel but it doesn't stop a girl from dreaming. Lately all I have really wanted to shop for is stuff for the house but tonight I am fancying these jewels. The GO line at Target will have to do for now...

That is what I want to stand outside of the airport with a white hankie in my hand yelling to Amy as she and Chris are off to Paris. I might be a little obsessed with the movie Pee Wee's big adventure...so I have probably said that to her 50 times already and I still laugh every time. I'm going to miss her like crazy.

Felt delights...

I saw some pincushions like these on line and since I desperately needed one I made these two...one for me and one for Amy. I stayed with Amy a few nights last week because Chris was out of town and we were quite the party animals. And since I was at her house i made her take the photos this time...Did you see the photos of my booties? NOT GOOD. She has a way of making anything look its very best. Its really amazing. Love her.

This is just a dippy passport holder I whipped up on the same night for her trip to Europe, the brat! So, jealous and going to miss her like crazy...but my mom will be here so that will be so much fun. She is going to teach me to sew, amongst other things. The lady can do it all and I need some lessons. Hope your weekend was good.
Tomorrow I'm going to try to post some photos of the house...its really coming along, I got my tile ordered and my cute wallpaper (I'm sure you have seen it, 2 of the prints are from Anthropologie, very darling) and my window covering. We are in business.

My friend Leah sent me a link to Martha Stewart that had the pattern for these cute little booties. Felt is maybe my favorite thing in the world to work with. I don't remember if I posted the stockings I made for my family at Christmas but they were little felt delights. Anyway, they were so much fun for me to do.

I thought I would post some very recent photos from the house...this top one is looking out to the big back yard that i have some very big plans for this spring.
One of only two walls in my house that are going to have color. (my furniture is so colorful and with the black crown i decided to go a little more neutral on the walls) you cant tell what a pretty color this is...I LOVE IT!
These are what a few of the doors on the cabinets have...I love the seeded glass.

The new cabinets look beautiful even without the doors on...I could not be happier with them. I will post more photos when they are completely in.

5 things...

My friend Julia gave me a challenge to post 5 things that most people do not know about me. So, 1. I have probably watched EVERY major motion picture that was ever produced between the years of, lets say 1980-1998. Since we are staying at Adams parents house there is no t.v. in the bedroom and I CANNOT fall asleep without the t.v. on. My mind just races and I end up getting all worked up about stuff and stewing all night. The best little whore house in Texas (this one was quite racy) was last nights feature presentation. (I should back up....my selection comes from Adams parents VHS collection, and they do not get rid of anything) So, I have to work with what I have. You know hits like, Samson And Delilah, RAD, Gohstbusters 2, and Winning London (staring Marykate and Ashley Olson).
2. I have my blanket that I have had since I was a baby...and I still sleep with it every night. Its hard to explain to someone who cant relate in any way, but it really is my security blanket. I remember when I was a kid it always smelt like maple syrup and my dad would tuck me in at night and wrap me up with it. If I couldn't find it I would sleep with one of my dads t-shirts that night and my mom would help me look for it the next day until we could find it. It always made me feel safe when I was away because it smelt like my moms linen closet at home....and it still does.
3. This was the best thing I have ever done. Some of you may not know but I was married before Adam...for about a month...total. It was Annulled. Lets just say there are some not very nice people out there and I happened to marry one, only I didn't know it until it was too late. the story is an interesting one, if you ever want to hear it, its worth the time it takes to tell it. It defiantly made me a better person, but I would be lying if i said it had no affect on me...It made me very insecure with myself and I really didn't think marriage worked in this world we are living in. All i can say is that it does and I was blessed enough to have the faith to let myself fall for Adam. (not that it was hard)
4. I get so embarrassed and awkward...All the time. It can be anything. When I was in high school I would have to turn away during half of the show 90210 because i was so embarrassed watching it. I die in movies, t.v. shows, plays, even sometimes just hearing people talk. I'm not embarrassed so much for the people...but more for me, that I'm witnessing something I maybe shouldn't be. i don't really know how to explain it but I need to get a grip on this one.
5. I'm a twin. You may know that but unless you are one you don't know how lucky I am to be one. Amy and I have a relationship unlike any other. She IS me. Growing up we always had each other...someone to laugh with, talk with, show up with. We can communicate with a look and in ways other people cant. Sometimes I really do think I know her better than I know myself.

Its always hard to do something like this because you don't quite know how personal to get...i hope I'm not a weird-o in your eyes now that you know a few of my hidden gems. Part of the 5 things was to ask 5 people to do the same...So, Amy, Mom, Erin, Sarah and Heather...I would love to read yours.

Our house!!!

I just wrote a ton about each of these photos and somehow erased it and I'm sooo ticked right now. so all I'm going to say due to the foul mood this just put me in is, these are of the upstairs...the top one with the big window is my kitchen...my sink goes right under that window and this bottom one is,... the wires are for the t.v. and all the extra crap Adam wired for (I-pod, and being able to see who is at the front door from the T.V.s, you know...important stuff like that) the open door there is the bathroom. We are supposed to be putting in our cabinets tomorrow...cross your fingers for me please.

Our fun night...

These are a few ( like 4 of the exact same photo) from tonight. I have put them on to showcase my new eyebrows...I plucked them down to size (well, by my standards) I like the big brows. BUT somebody (who will remain nameless) told me the other day that I had the biggest brows she has EVER seen in her life. So I took them down a few notches, to me it is quite drastic. So we had fun tonight, we fine dined and now it is 9:45 and we are home...but the best part of the night is yet to come...LOST.

For Adam...

I made Adam this little book for Valentines day (these are just a few of the pages)...Amy and I have been working on them for a while. (mine looked like a hot mess next to hers) Anyway, it was really fun to do and I think Adam really liked it. I hope everyone has a great day...

Happy Valentines Day...

I'm not big on Valentines Day for some reason...its like New Years to me, never quite what its cracked up to be. I do love the conversation hearts and cute little valentines like these. Look at all the little painters. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day.

I dont know what to call this post......

I came across these photos of my apartment I lived in before I moved in with my in-laws (Adam told me we would be in the new house 1 month after we moved in with them) I use to think I had my apartment very dippy but now i look at the photos and think it was pretty cute. Maybe that's just me LONGING for a space of my own and missing it so much. We have been living with my husbands parents for 5 months. I cant imagine what it will be like to have our own place again. I mean 5 months...that means we have only lived together for 7 months since we have been married. Anyway, I'm sorry to write about this but it was on my mind.

The house...

its hard to believe that i am standing right to the left of where that staircase is now(in the bottom one, in which i am dressed to kill). The top photo is a bit old and has a support beam down the middle of it that is no longer there. I will put new ones on tomorrow, because we have some of our walls painted and I'm loving the way it is looking. Anyway, I came across these old photos of the house and I was dying that it was the same place. I cant believe we bought it the way that it was...nasty!

Kind of sad...

So maybe I kind of liked Anna Nicole Smith...I'm not sure why. I think its because I watched her reality show and felt really bad for her...and she was pretty funny. Anyway, I was sad (and Amy was too, don't let her deny it) What a greasy story though. It will be interesting to see how this all turns out.

O.k. these dippy things are some mirrors I painted. They actually turned out sooo cute...you cant really tell in these photos but I like them.

The house...

These are just a few photos of the house...don't judge me because of the messy closet, it is a construction zone. You cant really see much in these but you can see the base bored so I thought i would post them. How about Adams cheesy grin, he does that every time i take a photo of him...I'm not quite sure why. I really like him though.
